REKHA SHARMA
Providing Holistic Health & Beauty Care through Ayurveda
Rekha Sharma is an Ayurvedic Practitioner with a Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery
from Baba Farid University in India. She has eleven years of theoretical and practical experience
in Ayurveda, a naturopathic form of healing and preventive care that addresses a wide range of
health issues including skin, hair, gastro-intestinal, stress-related, and psychosomatic problems.
Rekha has worked extensively with etiology, the pathogenesis of disease, and addressing the
root causes of disease with healing and nourishing herbs, diet and lifestyle recommendations,
and supportive coaching. She has several years of experience working in a multi-specialty hospital,
in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic
Medical Association (NAMA).
Evaluating the body type and daily base correction of the tridoshas is the first step to true
wellness. Rekha strongly believes in the oneness of the body, mind, and spirit. A healthy mind in a
healthy body and a healthier inside make a brighter outside.
Rekha uses only pure and natural organic herbs available in local stores. Many of them will already
be familiar to you from your own grocery shopping.
Rekha has worked for several years as an Ayurvedic Practitioner at the Westford Center for Counseling & Holistic Therapies, formerly under the management of Edith Griffin, Certified Reiki Master. Until Edith's retirement in 2017, she and Rekha collaborated in providing therapy for clients dealing with anxiety, insomnia, and depression. Ayurveda helped balance clients' doshas while reiki sessions helped balance their chakra energy, for excellent healing results.
Rekha's professional work includes raising public awareness of Ayurveda by providing Ayurvedic education to clients and to the community, in order to help people attain and maintain better health. From 2013 through 2015, she created educational videos with the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce. Since 2012 she has been creating educational videos in collaboration with the Westford Community Access TV
studio. As a health news anchor she has recorded over 100 health tips for WestfordCAT weekly news shows.
