AYURVEDA
One of the World's Oldest Health Systems

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India. It is believed that Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture) and other ancient medical practices find their roots in Ayurveda.

Ayurveda is recognized in the West today as a form of complementary and alternative medicine.

More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life. "Ayur" is the Sanskrit word for life, and "Veda" is the word for science or knowledge. Ayurveda offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vital while realizing their full human potential.

Ayurveda provides guidelines on ideal daily and seasonal routines, including diet, meditation, and yoga. According to Ayurvedic theory, everything in the universe is connected.

Anything that affects our physical, spiritual, or emotional well-being can cause us to be out of balance with the universe. Imbalance can lead to a build-up of toxicity in our tissues, compromising whole-health and well-being. Ayurvedic care helps us to create and maintain a balanced and dynamic integration between our environment, body, mind, and spirit, by means of a proper intake of fluids, appropriate diet and lifestyle, and the use of herbal remedies.
